Историческая справка
House 69, building No. 1 in Bakuninskaya ulitsa is a garage house built in 2004. Architects: Andrey Dmitriev, Eduard Feygin, Igor Makarov, Yana Oya, Mikhail Savelyev, designer: Boris Weinerman.
Something happened in the 21st century (something good for a change), and interesting, conceptual garages began to appear in Moscow. The "ship" garage on Bakuninskaya is a perfect example of this. The braces of consoles that encircle the building call to mind a ship’s bottom. Reinforced concrete frame, brick, plaster. Everything is very simple and even a little brutal. It turns out that it’s possible to create something powerful, bright and modern even out of common materials, and it’s not at all necessary to strive for the sky, dress up in trendy alucobond “outfits”, cover oneself with glass and all those high-tech bells and whistles. On the contrary, it is possible to follow the proven path of classical modernism (and here it is manifested in the “legs” of an office cube, and almost band-type windows, and the symphony of grids with deliberately enlarged pilasters), not to flirt with the environment (no special “bows” to the surroundings), and keep the right aesthetic tack: then you will get a commendable result.
