Историческая справка
In the early 20th century the manufacturer Leopold Stolkind bought a merchant`s mansion with the land in Vorontsovskaya ulitsa and ordered the building of a warehouse for the industrial pharmacy partnership "L. Stolkind & Co". An architect Vasiliy Eramishantsev designed this original two-colored Art-nouveau building with extraordinarily shaped windows and
main driveway. Note that the left part of the main facade differs in style: the original classical mansion is built into the warehouse. Later the building was used by the Russian entrepreneur Alexander Belyaev and "Ermans & Co" JSC. The factory was producing pharmaceuticals, chemicals, household goods and particularly petrol. In those days petrol was purchased in pharmacies (near a
pharmacy in Wiesloch, Germany, there is even a monument to "The First Long-Distance Drive": Carl Benz`s spouse Berta bought petrol there when passing by on her husband`s auto). In Soviet times this building housed the Moscow Pharmaceutical Chemical
