Fedor Filippovich Konyukhov was born on December 12th, 1951. He attended a nautical school in Odessa and another in Leningrad earning a specialty in polar navigation. At the age of 15 he accomplished his first expedition: rowing across the Sea of
Azov in a fishing boat. By the age of 50 he`d made more than 40 unique expeditions and ascents, gathering his impressions in
books and paintings. The Sea captain. The Yacht captain. Undertook four circumnavigations, crossed the Atlantic Ocean 15 times, once - on a rowing boat. He was first Russian to accomplish the Seven Summits project: he ascended the highest peak of every continent. On December 19th, 2010 Fedor Konyukhov took holy orders. On May 19th, 2012 he became the first priest of the Russian Orthodox Church who ascended Everest.
