Отгадка
The Scottish mathematician John Napier is famous for being the inventor of logarithms, but he considered his most important work to be the book «A Plaine Discovery of the Whole Revelation of St. John», written in 1593. Theorem 26 there asserted that the Pope was the Antichrist, and Theorem 14 predicted that the end of the world would occur between 1688 and 1700. The place in question is World’s End Close, named as such because in the Middle Ages it was at the boundary of Edinburgh, near the main city gates called the Netherbow Port. The court is in Hyndford's Close.
