«Running City 2о1о» official regulations
This agenda describes the «Running City 2о1о» event in detail and acts as a supplement to the general urban orienteering rules.
- Location and date of event: St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, 23 October 2010.
- Number of participants in a team: from 1 to 4.
- Course pattern: stagewise.
- Categories:
- «Angel»The classic category. Movement on foot and by public transport is allowed. Average course time - 7 hours.
- «Atlas»The classic category of "Running City". Course is passed via running and using public transport. For participants who are confident in their physical training. Average course time - 10 hours.
- «Bronevik»Category with no restrictions on the use of transport. You can use any personal, commercial, public transport, walking, running, etc. The route of "Light" is less long, and only a few CPS are given as puzzles. Average course distance - 150 km. Checkpoints are specified using puzzles.
- «Chimera»Movement at various unusual means of transportation: jumpers, hillis, segveyah etc. Category may be divided into separate standings (for example, among the teams set off on scooters). Acceptable means of transportation, see the competition Agenda. Average course distance - 20 km. Moving on jumpers, scooters, skateboards, etc. is allowed. The category may be divided into several classifications, depending on the fullness.
- «Griffin Light»Walking or jogging. For participants who are confident in their physical training. The route of "Light" is less long, suitable to any person. Average course distance - 35 km.
- «Griffin Pro»Walking or jogging. For participants who are confident in their physical training. Route "Pro" is more long, suitable for people who regularly engaged in cross-country sports. Average course distance - 45 km.
- «Horseman Light»Category for cyclists. Participants are highly desirable to have cycling experience in urban environments. The protective gear (helmet, beacon) is mandatory. The route of "Light" is less long, and in theory fits to any healthy adult. Average course distance - 70 km.
- «Horseman Pro»Category for cyclists. Participants are highly desirable to have cycling experience in urban environments. The protective gear (helmet, beacon) is mandatory. Route "Pro" is longer and requires good physical conditions to complete. Average course distance - 100 km.
- «Inline Skater»Rollerblading. Participants are highly desirable to have experience of movement on the rollers in an urban setting. The protective gear (helmet, rigid protection of the hands) is mandatory. Average course distance - 60 km.
- «Lion Light»Pleasure category. For those who want a leisurely walk on a given CPs. Participants can only walk. The route of "Light" is distinguished by the fact that all the CPs are given by specific addresses. Average course distance - 25 km. The course is not timed, course time is not considered during results calculation.
- «Lion Pro»Pleasure category. For those who want a leisurely walk on a given CPs. Participants can only walk. Route "Pro" is distinguished by the fact that some CP are given by puzzles. Average course distance - 25 km. The course is not timed, course time is not considered during results calculation. Checkpoints are specified using puzzles.
- «Sphinx Light»All the CP are given in the form of riddles. Moving between them - on foot or by public transport, that is necessary to think over and logistics. For those who think they are clever, and the usual "exact" addresses - "boring". The route of "Light" is less long as well as puzzles are less complex. Average course time - 7 hours. Checkpoints are specified using puzzles. The course area in this category is limited to the St. Petersburg borders.
- «Sphinx Pro»All the CP are given in the form of riddles. Moving between them - on foot or by public transport, that is necessary to think over and logistics.
